Personally, I think Madrid are stupid to let him go just like that.
But the again, Real Madrid was known for making silly transfer deals, like the one where they sold Claude Makelele to Chelsea so it probably didn't come as a surprise when Becks made that multimillion-dollar deal with L.A Galaxy.
This, from the guy whose shirt is a sellout amongst the Madrid faithful. It would be Real's loss, of course because their strikers have benefitted from Beckham's accurate passes & his deadball speciality.
It would also be a loss for fans of Becks (like me) because...we can't watch the MLS from here!!! I'm thinking, the only time we'll be able to see him is when he plays for England. Thankfully, Steve McClaren did the right thing by naming Becks in his squad.
I mean, come on. How many times has Becks proven that he can be the man for the job??
I'm quite delighted to note that not only has Becks been picked to join his national team, so has Ruud!!

Again, another good move on Marco van Basten's part. Like, hello?? This is a guy whom, at 31 is still scoring 20+ goals per season, okay??
I don't care what anybody says about Ruud and his goalscoring ways.
Whichever way you look at it, as long as the ball goes into the onion bag, it is a goal. It might be a tap-in from 3 metres out or a long cross from his own half, a goal by any other name is still a goal.

The most absurd thing is, just as everything has been built up like a pressure cooker, the league takes a two week break due to the upcoming internationals.
