Ohh, To Be A Pirate Lord!!

Finally, this action-packed trilogy has ended its course & the third installment has had its closure.

I don't care what other people say!! Will Turner is a hero in his own right!! Okay, maybe I'm being prejudiced because I like Orlando Bloom. I distinctively remember naming my blog Bloomingly Orlando once and signed off as "kissed Orli [insert Orli's picture] @ [insert time]".

But, come on. You gotta give a guy who got his heart stabbed and twisted with a sword only to be resurrected again to captain an immortal ship some credit. Everyone kept saying to me, "Orlando will die. He will dieeeeeeeee!!"

I was staunch in my belief that he would not. Oh well, that didn't stop me from weeping anywayz, which made Art stare at me kinda weird. Like hello, am I incapable of displaying any emotion whatsoever?? I'm a girl, for God's sake.

GB says I cry at every movie. That is SO not true. They brought up my situation when we were watching X-Men 3 when Jean Grey died. Seriously, why would I want to cry over Jean Grey when I don't even like her?? I think I wept because Wolverine was in jeopardy, NOT Jean a.k.a Phoenix.

The reason why I shed some tears when Will was speared like a piece of human kebab was because in my mind, it sucks to be just married for all of fifteen minutes and then have the love of your life taken away from you right in front of your eyes. I mean, if it did happen to me, I'd probably just like, sink into a depression or something.

Yes, it's just a story. But you know, these things could happen in real life. Aside from the fact that he did get revived, you don't get that in real life. Once you're gone, you're gone. So, it was kind of a big deal to me in that sense. Okaaaaaaay, I'm a sap when it comes to romance, I know and I get it.

Aside from that, it has surprisingly been a more or less boring week. Because classes had been pushed forward to accommodate the Vesak Day holiday.

Saturday was a meetup of sorts with The Old Gang. I haven't seen them since watching Shrek 3 although we talk more than ever on MSN and the phone. I think we're trying to make up for lost time when the lot of us were either busy working or schooling.

Nini's only just starting her new job and she had nothing to do for two weeks other than seek company. Fala's semester just ended so it's that time of the year for hols. And me, well, everyother day is a holiday for me.

Imagine that. Hah!!

Nini and I went over to Fala's cousin's Official Opening at Bugis Village. Her cousin, Fai, owns a shop called House Of Accessories (H.O.A). It's pretty impressive. I've never been to the old store but I must say, the decor is impeccable. It's almost Moulin Rouge-like without the partisans, of course.

There was a buffet spread --oh my gawd, food, glorious food!!-- that included Ayam Lemak Cili Padi, Sambal Goreng, Sweet & Sour Fish, Ayam Masak Merah --this is a total fave because Fala's mom made it!!-- aaaaaaaaand T U L A N G!!

*dies from consumption overdose*

I didn't get to eat the tulang, NOT because I was on a diet or because I doubted the chef's cooking BUT because I had already stuffed myself with the chicken. Eddie, Nini's boyfriend, declared it sedap. *sighs*

I hope I don't live to regret it. They even had eclairs as part of the dessert menu. They were good even though the cream filling did squirt out of my pastry shell rather abruptly, almost spilling onto Eddie's jeans. Thank God for plates.

Sadly, we didn't purchase anything from H.O.A because we were both broke. Never mind. There's always a next time. Although I do wonder when would be the next time I would get to eat Fala's mom's chicken. Being a poultry-lover, I don't think I could ever get enough of them.

But more importantly, I don't think I could ever get enough of those two. So what if I'm the only one amongst us unattached. I don't think our relationship changed one bit. I still love them with all my heart and these few weeks have strengthened our bonds and proved that we still got it!!

Although we've never had an anniversary just for friends, here's to six years of great friendship and definitely more to come!! Woo-hoo!!

Laterz...
Lenny
