Went to Tampines Mall yesterday with Mummy, Daddy & sisters. Mom & Dad had won some vouchers during Dad's company dinner -Best Denki & NTUC- so we all piled into our Trajet & drovve off. I had only wanted to come along because of one thing. Old Chang Kee!!!

We went to Best Denki first; Mom wanted to buy a new blender/juicer. We rekkied the place, arguing which blender was better, cheaper, equipped with more power yada yada yadadora...

In the end, Mom settled for a Braun blender made of glass, damn heavy, had 5 speeds, wouldn't smell even if we blended a sack full of onions, chillies, garlics, whatever & was at a reasonable price of $75. Well hell, we had $100 voucher, so I guess it was well spent. Then I picked out 4 packs of Eveready AA batteries which were at 90 cents per pack. And we're talking about GOLD quality, here. Not the ones I used on my Discman, Super Heavy Duty. So I happily grabbed 4; 2 for myself & another 2 for the house. Mom bought a mini warmer & a few cans of portable gas just to use up the vouchers & ended up paying only $10 for everything. Go figure.

Then we headed to Tampines Mall where I wanted to stuff myself with Old Chang Kee. Dad went to keep our Best Denki stuff back in the car so we decided to queue for our food first. Mom was doubtful of the food they were selling since it was hers & all my sisters' first time eating Old Chang Kee. So I took everyone's orders & rambled off to the auntie selling to pack everything in seperate bags. Here's what all of us wanted:-

Mom - Corn Pie
Me - Squid Body & Carrot Cake
Dad - 2 Squid Heads
Adlyn - Corn Pie
Nuryn - Squid Body & Squid Head
Fatin - Squid Head
Nini - Crab Claw, Squid Body & Squid Head

And 5 cans of Iced Tea. And by the way, there were seconds, thirds, fourths AND fifths. We just kept queuing & coming back to the line of Old Chang Kee-ers that we finally got shooed out of the Mos Burger sitting area 'coz of illegal sitting. Like, whatever, Mos Burger. Just because we don't want any of your burgers we can't sit there?? Utter rubbish. Pooh.

Anywayz, we bought like tons of junk food, 2 types of juices 'coz me & my sis couldn't decide on which ones to buy, 2 boxes of marshmellows & loads of stuff made for gaining weight & decaying teeth. Yeah, even after eating sticks of squids, we still managed to purchase 2 whole roasted chickens, half a kilo of Chicken Meatloaf & a packet of Turkey Bacon strips from the Halal Deli section. And even after that, we still had some more vouchers to spare. Dad, of course told us to save it. What a day all filled with goody foodies...*sighz...
