They still sound pretty good. Which is to say, they sound the same as their previous, I dunno, five albums. You can expect the same kind of material that was from Never Gone. It was like as if they Never Left!!
Sometimes though, I wished they came up with better material instead of songs that almost sound the same.
A little tidbit of a trivia. One of the tracks off this album -- I won't say which one -- was written by a certain JC Chasez. You know who I'm talking about, dontcha?? *winks*
It sounds like Diddy's Last Night featuring Keyshia Cole, but it does have a funky beat to it. So JC. And although I still say he should just shove all that creative music-making juices into either a sophomore album OR make the very last album with *NSYNC.
I mean, come on. *NSYNC (or Justin) owes their fans that much. Besides, the group DID outsell the Backstreet Fathers.
What do I think of this latest shenanigan from them?? I say, stop fooling around with fast uptempo tracks and stick to those ballads. You know you shine best with those. I don't know why after ten long years they're still attempting to produce nice-sounding fast tracks. Leave those dancey songs to *NSYNC and just focus on easy listenings.
Do I recommend this album? If there's nothing else to listen to in the world, then yes. If you're a die-hard pop groupie who would always be stuck in an era where boybands ruled the charts and knowing every little detail about your favorite boyband was THE golden ticket to popularity. If you've run out of karaoke songs to warble to and at the time you were so drunk, Backstreet Boys seemed like the best choice out of the lot.
That's for the normal people.
I happen to like about three-quarters of the album, give or take. I mean, if you're listening to it by yourself without anyone knowing it then keep it that way. No point in proudly showing the album off, thinking you're the next big thing and only to get laughed at in return.
