Supernatural Freaked The Shit Outta Me...

But...I loveeeeeee it!! Woooot!! Never thought watching the new WB series, Super Natural could bring my adrenaline rush up five notches & make my stomach lining grow thinner at the same time.

And *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEAMS!!* I was right!! The cute blonde guy Eric from Days Of Our Lives, Ben & Alec from Dark Angel & Coach Jason Teague from Smallville is the main character in the story!! Well, there's only two main characters, actually so it's the blonde one & he's it!! *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMS!!!*

Yesterday, AXN aired the first episode of this phenomenal tale of Dean -played by THAT CUTE GUY Jensen Ackles- & Sam -Jared Padelecki- two brothers bounded together by destiny to rid the world of paranormal incidents. IMO, it's kinda like Buffy the Vampire Slayer-meets-The Ghosbusters-meets-John Constantine in this action-packed thriller.

The beginning part of the story was creepy enough to send chills down my spine & made me look up the ceiling several times.

Dean is the older hero-wannabe macho brother who accepts his fate the moment he pulled out his little brother Sam from the burning inferno of their home when they were kids while little brother Sam who's afraid of the dark since he was a boy is the reluctant brother who just wants to live a normal life & be a lawyer.

Murder-slash-arson or the hauntings of the dead??

In any case, the first fifteen minutes efficiently had me scurrying behind my small pillow. Yes, I am a cowardly female who has no apetite to stomach horror films much less sit & watch just one episode lasting an hour.

But, what got me hooked on SN was the fact that even with Sam balking almost every step of the way & Dean pulling out every heroic trick out of the book, the brothers stood resolutely by each other's side determined to find their 'lost' father.

I have a confession to make, though. Yes, I hid behind my pillow but that's not the worst of it. Please, try not to fall off your chair while laughing at this silly girl's antics. Okay, so *takes deep breath* here it is:

Engrossed as I was, watching my new-old darling & his brother thoroughly inspecting the room their father had resided before taking off, I neglected to notice something that was right beside me ear until it shook itself & tickled my ear. So, I did the only thing I could think of at that very moment.

I screamed. At the top of my lungs. At 11.30pm.

And looked up just in time to see my sister jump a foot high & nearly toppling over on me a box of Long John Silver's she held in her hand. Yes, THAT was the stupid THING I felt near my ear.

No, the sister didn't sit down with me & kept me company because she had an exam paper the next day. Nonetheless, I grabbed the box & started chomping on the fries as if they were popcorn. I was that intrigued.

Bunny & I have mutually agreed that even though I'm the younger between the both of us, she would be Sam & I, Dean. Not because I like Dean -she likes Dean, too- but because she's the taller one & has longer hair. Makes sense?? Don't worry, nothing does when it comes to both of us

Yesssssssarh!! Can't wait for the next episode to air next week on AXN!!

Overall, even though the first episode held a tad too much darkness in terms of coloration, the visual effects had enough kick to it that leaves in a stamp in the memory & it's a good watch for thrill-seekers with nothing better to do on a Thursday night. Especially if it's cold & raining.

Remember folks, check the ceiling every night before going to sleep. You might never know what's up there staring down at you...
