France won 3-0 with 2 goals by Djibril Cisse & an OG deflected off Cisse; Holland won 1-0 & Ruud scored the ONLY goal. Sad, but at least they got 3 points & managed to stay on top of Group 1, especially after the Czech Republic floundered to a 0-2 loss against Romania where Adrian Mutu, back from his ban, scored both goals. England squeezed past Wales to secure a 1-0 victory over Wales; substitue fatty Joe Cole managed to knock that one in. I call it getting lucky.

Sweden beat Bulgaria 3-0 with goals coming in from Freddie Ljungberg, Zlatan Ibrahimovich & some other guy. Maybe it was Henrik Larsson. Portugal & Australia smashed their opponents, Luxemborg & Solomon Islands respectively, with 6-0 & 7-0 wins respectively. And Italy drew with Scotland to a 2-2 stalemate.

I guess it was a good international week for most of the countries. It only gets better this week with upcoming matches filling your telly screens. I don't know what match is gonna be shown on Channel 5, though. Hopefully not a French match again. I could use the variety of countries, you know. Hint, hint. Holland, please?? I don't ask much; if not, then England. *Sweet smile*

Yesterday's wedding was bland, I did see most family members, but only a handful of my direct relatives came. My second uncle & his wife came with their eldest daughter's new, small family that consisted of herself, her husband & her one-year-old baby son. Yes, yes, I'm an aunt, don't laugh. But my nephew, Mikhail, was sooooo adorable. He's about the same age as my baby cousin from the same side but technically, he has to call her Auntie. Took photos of both of them, separately of course & a couple of videos with Mikhail in it. Actually, I pronounce his name as Mikael. Ahahahkz!! I don't know why. Too many Mikaels & Mickaels around, I guess.

Mikhail never had a problem with people before, so it was easy for others to interact with him. And he even giggled & smiled widely when I gave him a goodbye kiss on his soft little cheek. Gatal Mikhail. Aqmar, my cousin on the other hand, wasn't a people person when she was younger, but surprisingly yesterday, she was as amicable as the next baby. My uncle must've trained her well, since he himself is considerably a people person as well.

On our way to the wedding, Mom mentioned something on whether or not I still remembered that when I was young & when my godgrandmother used to be alive, she used to bring me to her neighbour's house to play with their two young boys, one of whom was the same age as me, Abdul Matin. And I was like, really?? There was ever such an event?? I mean, I was probably a few years old at that time while I stayed at Bedok Reservoir with my godgrandmother's family who took care of me when Mom & Dad went to work. Heck, even if my parents weren't working, I'd still be there refusing to go home.

Mom said that me & that little guy, whom was the younger of the two kids used to play together at his house. She mentioned that she saw his Mom just recently but couldn't put her finger as to who it was. His Mom also apparently said the same thing to my Mom. It wasn't until Mom read the newspaper & they had an article doing family features & his family happened to be the one featured.

Well for me, I haven't see this guy in like, probably more than a decade or so; I don't remember what he looked like before, what more now?? And anywayz, I don't even remember playing with him as a child, but after she mentioned it, little triggers of my deceased godgrandmother saying his name have begun filling my head. So, I HAVE heard of his name before. Hmmm. But I have no idea who the heck he is. In my mind, he's like a faceless person because I don't remember what he looks like. I guess that's just part of my life that's been closed a long time ago. I mean, I still keep in touch with my godgrandmother's family because her daughters are my Mom's cousins, so technically, I call them my aunts.

Maybe Mom would want to ask one of them about whatever happened to Abdul Matin & his family after we all grew up. I sure as heck didn't see him at my godgrandmother's funeral when she died in '96, I think. Well, maybe I was too young then to notice. I only knew she was gone from my life & that it would never be the same without her around.

Okay, off to cook lunch today. Yeah, I'm cooking. Why?? Got problem, is it?? Daddy asked me to barbecue the fish so I'm doing it now. I've gotta slather it with the marinade first, though. Hopefully it's good & no one has a tummy ache after that. Whahahahkz!!

Laterz...
