The Period...

Seriously, I never felt more relieved. After weeks of fretting and speculation that there was something wrong with my internals, I am finally feeling woman again!!

I know some --okay, most-- girls dread the day when their period arrives. It is probably due to the buildup of the prelude to what was to come.

On my part, I'm still not sure if it is a blessing or a curse. I would like to think it is the former instead of the latter. Leading up to the weeks before D-day, my eating habits and patterns change and differ like the wind. Just last week, I was craving for salmon so badly that I had it thrice and in different variations. It kinda sucks sometimes because you know you'll put on weight during a certain amount of time before or during your period.

I am lucky that the cramps I have experienced are shortlived and doesn't make me double over in agony or cause me to be bedridden for the day. Most times, I don't even realize those cramps would lead to my period --I just thought I ate too fast.

I've known and heard dozens of girls wailing in my ear about the curse of the period and how much of a pain --figuratively and literally speaking-- it is to have it.

Come on. You don't like being a woman?? I can think of so many benefits being a woman has, starting with the fact that we get to shave our legs and wear skirts.

The list goes on but wanna know what the best part of having your period is?? It's the only time you can say to your man, "No sex tonight, love!! I'm perioding!!"

We rock!!

Laterz...
