How did you meet 10?
Through my mute neighbor Mamat. Here's a funny story. You're thinking, weird, the guy's a mute so how can he intro this guy to her?? He didn't. It was more like 10 intro-ed himself to me without him knowing my name and me knowing his name. 10 hails from New Zealand and stayed over at Mamat's for awhile.

The thing was, we only got to know each other AFTER I got back from Melbourne because no one bothered to make the first move. He didn't even say hello properly, more like hollered at me from across the room because I refused to acknowledge him. And now he's gone back home, without even saying a single goodbye.

A phonecall to my mother after evening prayers while you were at the airport doesn't count, No. 10!!

But I'm not bitter!!

Watch out, No. 10. When you haul your ass back here, you are so going to get a tight bitchslap.

What would you do if you had never met 2?
I would not have known what it was like to have a girl say that if I was a guy, she would date me. *sniffles*

If I hadn't met No.2, I would not have known the meaning of true friendship. I would probably remain bitter for the rest of my miserable life. The timing of our friendship couldn't be any more perfect because I was in a phase where I virtually had no friends.

My classmates were all aliens and because I wasn't an alien, I was stamped and shoved into the rejects corner, along with some other non-aliens. Technically, No. 2 was dating an alien --it was bad judgement on her part-- but despite that, we remained close.

So you could say that No. 2 is someone pretty darn special. She's indispensible, really. Without No. 2, plans for outings would tolly suck.

What would you do if 6 and 10 dated?
Highly unlikely. Because 6 is already taken and will never part with her Kambing. That is a known fact. Another thing, how can they possibly date when NO. 10 ISN'T EVEN HERE!! *scowls*

If No. 4 cries, he'll get a bitchslap and a Nabeh kick from me.

Do you think No. 10 is cute?
Yech, no. And with good reason!!

How did you get to know No. 8?
Ahhh, 8. I though 8 was a typical skinny Mat the first time I saw 8. Because the others said there was this new bassist guy and I asked them, "Handsome or not??" And they asked me to see for myself. I still remember going into the jamming studio, taking just ONE glance at that boy and without bothering to cover my voice, I said, "Yech, so skinny!!" I didn't care if 8 heard or not, probably not because the room was so noisy.

But 8 ain't a Mat, ehh 8!!

He came for Amir's goodbye dinner and I thought, hmmm, maybe this guy ain't so bad after all. He was goofy in an endearing way and he's actually got an infectious smile. Slowly, No. 7 got him to join us for our outings and we all get along well together. Besides, he's a Manchester United fan so I suppose I'd get along well with any Manchester United fan.

Brown and Black. To hide whatever he's got under his shirt. No. 7's been looking good these days. Well, better than when we were all in NYP, that's for sure.

Actually, I lied. No. 7 THINKS he looks good these days and compares himself to Justin Timberlake. Well you're not. Okay?? Get over yourself.

I would say: I already know. Because you stayed with me throughout the night as we raced to finish our essays and gave each other endless encouragement and RAH RAH RAHS just to get through the night.

Fact about No. 9:
9 likes homecooked food and during Ramadan last year, 9 would gladly gobble up whatever I brought from home even if it was dessert so in the end, every time I went for classes, I would bring two portions of food with me. One for me and one for 9.

There was one time that I brought made-from-scratch creamy mushroom soup in a purple Tupperware and I told No. 9 to take it home because I already had mine. He took so long to give it back to me and I warned him that he'd better wash it. When he finally gave it back, it was Raya season and he just thrust it into my hands.

"Nah, " he said. "Now you can taste the many variations of my mother's Cornflakes cookies and her gigantic Kuih Makmur without going to my house."

Sure.

Who is No. 4 steading with?
Me. We're the kind of couple that you people look at in disgust because we're joined at the hip and everywhere we go, people see us as a packaged deal. Buy one, get the other. We are cubiclemates, colleagues, classmates as well as socialmates. We even have our own couple spot at work just outside our office building.

No. 4 sits right in front of me and he would click on me everyday at 11.45am without fail with the message, "I'm hungreh, let's go!!"

And I sing back, "Sure, SO sure!!" You'll know the line if you're a Thatter. We do it all the time, typing lyrics to each other everytime our songs come up on air. Despicably romantic, but it is what it is.

Who is No. 5 to you?
No. 5 is the instigator of all outings. The problem with No. 5 is that sometimes, her plans don't always fall through. But when it does, we always have tons of fun. Technically, No. 5 is someone you go to when you really need that leg-up moral boost.

No, I'm not a moral booster. I don't do moral boosters. If you came to me for a moral booster, you'd probably be on the receiving end of some scathing remark. Or worse.

So if you need that ray of light to shine through your dark, stormy cloud, you might wanna hook up with No. 5 and she'll gladly give you the kind of cheering you need to get you up and scoring again.

No because we would be at each other's throats. Fo' reals, yo. It's not so much of whether or not we can stand each other. It's more like, we just clash when it comes to different opinions and beliefs.

There was a time when there was so much tension between the two of us that No. 7 told me to back up off No. 13 because it was pointless and No. 13 wasn't ever going to change. No. 7 said to let him be. No. 7 also said something else, but I can't say it because it will be a breach of privacy and besides, it's all good now. No. 13 is generally able to piss people off all on his own, with or without him knowing it.

I like No. 13, I really do. But too much of him, is not good for me.

No. She's taken by somebody else!! *bursts into tears*

But I'm not bitter!! Ohhh nooooo...

I remember how I met No. 1. It was through a friend-who-is-no-longer-a-friend that we were acquaintances. Then one sunny morning on my first day on FYP, No. 1 managed to piss me off. I was already alone, a little stoned and still sleepy at 8.30am and so I plonked myself down on a random chair and got ready to activate the PC when a voice behind me chirped, "Excuse me, sorry arh, I need to use this PC for my project."

Bitch, I scowled and got up to move, albeit reluctantly. I was ready to put No. 1 down on my top people to hate list.

And then a few days later, everything changed and life has never been the same with No. 1 around.

Where does No. 7 live?
Sengkang. 7's house is not a place I would recommend for the faint-hearted. I swear to God, we nearly died going into his room last year. So you're thinking, nobody asked us to enter his room, you silly fools. That's true. But we went in FOR THE SAKE OF CURIOSITY. Curiosity that almost got us killed, that's for sure.

The weirdest thing was, none of the guys thought there was anything wrong with No. 7's room. They're freaks. I happen to think something went in there and never got out.

It probably died there, too.

What do you think about No. 3?
3 was there when I grew up. 3 was one of my rocks back when we were in peach-colored blouses that were tucked into the same peach-colored A-line skirts. I love No. 3. She's like No. 2. She's always speaks the honest truth and these are the very few people whom I can accept criticism from and not fly off the handle.

Years after we've graduated from Secondary school, I still think she deserves the Virtue of the Month award given to her during our last year: Responsibility.

About a week ago, No. 3 and I chatted a little and I told her that I missed her. A lot. And I said, the next time I saw her, could I give her a hug and could she hug me back and then we both could just cry. She asked, why cry?? I said, the tears are for the times that we've neglected our long friendship and never really took the effort to make time and spend it with each other. And this applies to everyone in The Old Gang.

I haven't seen No. 3 in awhile because we've all been pretty busy with our separate lives. But we're meeting this Sunday!! So exciting!!

Whats the best thing about No. 8?
No. 8 is my Kandang and it can't get any better than that. No. 8 is one of the most genuine guys I have ever known. I like No. 8. He's quirky in his own way because in some way, he is like a big skinny kid. Big as in, older. But yet, still a kid. And in that sense, its a refreshing sight because not all guys can have that kind of earnestness and honesty and still be able to be cool.

I'm not talking about looking cool, that's a different issue. It's just...being cool without even knowing it. It all comes naturally to No. 8. He's special, that No. 8.

What do you like about No. 11?
No. 11 was my midnight MSN girlfriend for awhile. No. 11 said we talked more than when she talks to HER boyfriend.

I haven't seen No. 11 very much, either. What I like about No. 11 is...HER BOYFRIEND!! *evil cackle*

Ahem. Okay, on a more serious note I think what I love about No. 11 is for us to be able to talk about anything and everything under the sun. We used to do that ALOT but again, because of different schedules and stuff, I think our chats have decreased quite a bit. In fact, to be honest we've not talked since September last year or something.

But that's okay, we're meeting this Sunday!! I'm not bitter!!

There are many.

One of them was in the recording studio where we were doing our radio segment and during 5's show, she said, "Name two bitches in Bali," as part of her script. Then she realized her blunder and repeated the same line but stressed on the third word. "Name two beeeeeeeeaaches in Bali." This despite practicing countless of times. 9 and 1 were in the interviewee's chairs and we couldn't stop sniggering in silence because the mics were so sensitive and we struggled to remain in our seats. We almost missed our cues. Dang, that was hilarious.
