We didn't let Nick in on the itinary of his day until a few hours just before meeting when he picked Lawra up. Alas, the cat had already been let out of the bag by Casper whow was as usual tawdry. When he arrived though, he was careful not to sit anywhere near a fuming Lawra. According to the culprit, he got so excited about the day that he hadn't noticed who he had clicked and just fired away a message stating, "Oh my God, I am so excited about going for karaoke."
The person whom he clicked in question was none other than the birthday boy. So clever.
Dinner was at near Chomp Chomp in Serangoon Gardens where Brandon and Farah joined us. They had just returned from the doctor's because Farah had a sudden inflamation that came from consuming peanuts. The poor girl just had to have a swollen face and eye. And we were not allowed to make nuts jokes about her state.
Owell.
We did it anywayz. Nick had started the ball rolling and I even managed one because I couldn't resist. I managed to capture her good side, though so she wouldn't look like such a disfigured monster. Although they were keen to join us, Brandon was firm in his decision to bring Farah home so she could rest. Besides, she just had an injection on the butt which was bound to make her knock off.
Rosz joined us while we were just starting up the karaoke session at Ten Dollar Karaoke after he was done with his soccer league game and with that, it completed our group. Of course, when Rosz is around no celebration is complete without a saboh. Nick couldn't escape as he picked out his candles from his whipped cream topped cupcakes using his mouth. And that wasn't all. Under Rosz's command, he had to scoop out 3 mini M&Ms according to the color in which Rosz called out.
Anywayz, the karaoke session was filled with cheesy boyband songs, oldskool pop and dancey tunes that had us up on our feet. Every word was punctuated with an action. The guys brought out their inner Beyonces and Mariahs while the girls rocked out their boyband fantasies.
We ended our session waaaaay beyond what we had planned and Fidah and I had begun planning where to take a cab home when Nick offered to drop us all home. Rosz declined because he still had a bus available although we did drop him off at his bus stop.
It was a memorable night with loads of pictures as proof. I tried to reach the 200 mark, I really did. But I guess we were so focused on singing more than taking photos that I happily closed an eye. The majority of us went home with sore throats, prompting Nick to exclaim, "Your voice hasn't changed, Lenny. Why hasn't it changed?!?!"
Heh heh. Tricks of the trade, bro. Check out our wild night out.
