I know this is long due but well, I've been busy what with the cousin coming over from Egypt and that particular week of slumbering over at the grandmother's. So, just so I won't bore people with my words here are amongst the piccies I took from our trip.
It turned out to be slightly better than expected. Mom & I had a reconciliation of sorts. A truce, if you will. As long as she doesn't produce bitchy snide comments, I will talk to her. Once she starts to be her self-righteous self, I am going to turn away & pretend she's someone else.
Not the best way to make up an almost-lost relationship, but man, the woman has to learn that the sky isn't exactly the limit. Well hell, it was better than nothing. I know Mom has been asking Fartz why I wasn't on talking terms with her. Fartz, bless her tomboy soul has been a great sister & a better middle man. I shouldn't use her like that but it couldn't be helped. It was the only way Mom could get through to me.
I know she has been hurting due to my silence. Being the proud lion that I am & the stubborn ram that she is --she's an Aries & I, a Leo-- we've had our share of major roadblocks but we've managed to bulldoze our way through them some way or another. They say that one of the best relationships are between a Leo & an Aries. I am inclined to believe that because Mom & I are the product of that. So are Mom & Dad.
Anywayz, here are the pics for the day. A note of caution though. Get a box of tissue ready beside you when you scroll down to the last few picture, aitez?? You have been warned.
Ohh, and I finally got my Greek slippers. Not one pair but TWO. For Troy!!

A village mosque -one of the more completed ones.

The interior - if you look closely, the grills are molded to spell
Allah in Arabic.

The place for the

This guy isn't jaywalking. He's serenading drivers in hopes of getting a little money. A street busker of sorts.

Is this the biggest wedding cake you have ever seen or what?? It's not real, but it sure looks edible!!
