The Last Member...

Finally, the last member of GB celebrated his 20th birthday today. We can now look towards the new year to celebrate Chippy's 21st birthday.

Kity got a surprise mystery date as his birthday present along with a black homemade cap with the word Saosin -his ultimate all-time favorite band- stamped all over it. Courtesy of Mr. Chippy & his handiwork.

Obviously our plan pulled through even though Kity was extremely late & kept the girl waiting. There was also a slight communication breakdown when Kity misheard our directions & headed towards Suntec City instead of Marina Square.

Anywayz, hoped you enjoyed your paid-for birthday meal, Kity, even if you were rudely shocked by the presence of an unknown girl. Not bad for a blind date, yes?? Happy birthday!!

Ever felt let down by someone so close to you by their mannerisms that you just couldn't believe they're doing it right in front of your eyes?? Like, really really REALLY right in front of your eyes?? That you're just astounded by their actions you're stumped for words because you never really expected it to come from them all the time you've known them??

And it tears you up inside to see them behaving that way but you really don't know what to do because you don't want your significant friendship to get ripped apart but you get that frightful feeling that somehow it would??

The whole time you've known them, you think you've seen it all but in a second, they just...change. And you're left wondering, is this some kind of joke?? Is that supposed to be part of one's 'coming out from his/her shell'?? Where did that sane person disappear to??

Like a shapeshifter shedding its skin, the person whom you thought you knew like the back of your hand displays a side you've never seen before, an uglier -so to speak- side. You go, what the heck?? That's not my friend. My friend would NEVER do that. But again, they proved you wrong. Oh, hell yeah, they can & will do it. And boy, aren't they enjoying themselves tremendously.

Out of the blue, that person tranforms into a monster out of some figmented imagination. Something which you'd never thought would happen because you believed in that friendship. It knocks the wind out of you & you're left in the dust, blinking rapidly as you try to figure out just what happened.

Disappointed & distraught, you begin to think, what went wrong?? Was it you?? Were you blinded by the thought of such a perfect friendship that you missed some of the signs that flew by you?? Was it because you treasured the person so much, you discarded all the misgivings & just plain accepted them for who they were?? Maybe it was your fault for putting them so high up on the pedestal that whatever wrongdoings done looked right. Maybe it was because you were so protective over them that you'd do anything to defend them with your life & now, you're about to lose them.

Was the person trying to prove something to you?? Just to show others they've got the bollocks to do it?? Bragging rights, maybe?? You don't know. You just don't know.

You're confused. You're trying your damndest to brush it off. But sometimes, it's too much & you've had it up till there. Everyone has their limits. Your sister wants action to be taken but you're strongly against it. Your friends say you need time, but you're unsure of how the cards will be played the next time.

Thankfully though, your problem isn't serious enough for you to be losing sleep over.
