Graduation Ceremony Letter

It's all blarney, really.

I just received the invitation which would be held on the 21st of June this year just now when Nuryn popped into my room after returning home from school. Neatly ripping it open, I scanned through almost everything in the span of five minutes but blanched when I read that the invitation provided was only applicable for one guest only.

I re-read the line five times.

ONE GUEST ONLY!!?!?!

Then who impregnated my mother?? How did my mother get pregnant with me?? I still have two living, breathing, alive & kicking parents, okay!!

I canNOT belive NYP is that cheapeskate that they would only allow ONE guest to be present at the ceremony. Isn't this supposedly the 'life-altering' moment in life where one is no longer a student at one's alma mater & the best they could come up with was by only inviting ONE guest!?! And if we wanted another invitation, we were to go down to Blk S to request for one. On a first-come-first-serve basis. LIke, whaaaat!!

Bloody TP allows TWO guests present at their graduation ceremony, okay!! TWO, not ONE. The students at TP were born with a set of parents. Unlike us, the miserable students of bloody NYP.

I understand if some of us are living with single parents & such, but isn't it a norm that an average student has both parents?? And even if a student has only one parent, so what?? The other space available can be used to invite a grandparent or another close relative of sorts.

Although it could be due to the fact that NYP's auditorium is worried about the space contraints & lack thereof. And of course, having the ceremony elsewhere is highly doubtful because NYP is too miserly with money.

Bahh!!

Hopefully, the free food provided would be of some compensation for this blasphemy of a ceremony. Or is even that too muh to hope for??

Laterz...
