A New Name...

My new name is Aleeya Maisara. Courtesy of Daddy PK, God knows where the name was taken from. Like I don't get more than enough of my share of nicknames as it is. But, whatever lahh. If Daddy PK says Aleeya Maisara, who am I to object?? He is my 'Daddy' after all. Hmpf.

Tomorrow, another round of internationals will take place as the battle for a place in the '06 World Cup continues. Good luck to all teams whom need that extra qualifying boost if they haven't yet automatically secured a place & have to contest in a round of playoffs.

Anywayz, here's what I found off MSN.com -yeah, my usual daily fix, where else??- about the most satisfactory automobiles they've reviewed so far, according to AutoPacific -the list varies every year- & granted, this may seem unimportant but hey, who knows that maybe one day when you're hunting for that 'perfect' car, you'll be reminded of this list.

Top Ten Car Lists
Tops in Vehicle Satisfaction

Lexus was rated the overall best brand in AutoPacific's annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards by narrowly surpassing Cadillac, which has been ranked highest in three of the last five years. Lexus shared the honor with Cadillac in 2002. Headquartered in Tustin, Calif., AutoPacific performs marketing and product consultation for the auto industry.

While Lexus was the brand winner, Nissan fielded seven category winners, including the vehicle with the highest overall ranking, the Titan full-size pickup truck. This award marks the first time a pickup truck outscored all other vehicles. The highest-rated car was the Maxima, also from Nissan.

Domestic brands didn't fare so well in this 2005 study, with top-scoring vehicles in just five of the seventeen categories. Winners included the Pontiac GTO as top Sporty Car; the Large Heavy-Duty Pickup category winner was the Dodge Ram HD; and the Lincoln Town Car took the top spot in the Luxury/Large Car category. The Buick LaCrosse and Chevrolet Equinox tied with their competitors in their respective categories.

Korean automakers continue to excel, with the Hyundai Santa Fe winning the Standard Midsize Sport Utility class for the fourth year running (tied with the Chevrolet Equinox). The Hyundai Tucson tied with the Honda Element for the top ranking of compact SUVs.

This year a Scion won a category for the first time. The boxy xB of Toyota's youth-oriented brand ranked at the top of the Compact Car category.

This year was also the first time AutoPacific had a three-way tie—the Honda Odyssey, Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna all finished with equal scores to take top honors in the Minivan category.

Results for the yearly Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are determined by calculating owner satisfaction scores across 45 specific areas related to a vehicle's operation, comfort, safety and the overall purchase/lease experience. This year's ratings reflected input from buyers and lessees of new vehicles acquired September 2004 through January 2005.
