In Conjunction With Punani's Blog...

I thought I'd sync up with one of Punani's blog entries which was pretty sweet. It was about the things guys liked about girls. So, the point of my entry is to 'retaliate' & blog about some of the things girls like about guys. In my opinion. Hopefully it's general enough that the majority of the female population agrees with me.

Here we go.

1. The scent of your cologne.
Because it brings out the essence in you & as you walk past us, we can't help but follow the drift of your scent. Especially if it's a great-smelling one like say, Calvin Klein's Crave or something from Hugo Boss. We can't help but get attracted by the waft of it. If we smell a good smell, we can't help but want to find out who belongs to it. And we especially wonder if that sexy smell belongs to a sexy male.

2. The way you're so overprotective with us.
Because we know it's that alpha-male Y chomosome in you that wants to make sure the fairer sex isn't harmed in any way. We know that when you're around, we'd be safe. But even though you may be play the hero some of the time, you're still immortal most of it. And besides, we are responsible for what befalls us. Not you.

3. The way you act all tough & macho on the outside...
But turn into mush on the inside when you think we don't know it. Hey, it's okay to abandon the Neanderthal caveman policies sometimes. All the more it makes you more charming than you already are & your sensitivity only makes you go up a notch in our point of view.

4. The way you get all exasperated when we frustrate you.
Isn't that just the most adorable sight of a man venting his 'exasperation' because guys are known to be all cool & distant & it isn't everyday you get to see a guy expressing his feelings.

5. The way you go head-to-head with us & then finally throw in the shovel & conceede. Sometimes.
It shows that you're no pushover but you're also willing to let some things pass. And we find it cute the way you 'give in' at times when you've just got nothing more to say or just can't be bothered & let us have our way.

Okay, these are just some of the stuff I've got at the top of my head right now. It's not professional stuff, I know. But it's just based on my opinion. Got any other suggestions that you'd like to see here?? Run them by me & I'll credit you. Not that I have an interest in any particular guy or anything.

After reading through Bunny's recent blog entry, I'm feeling her. I know where she's getting at. Though I have never been in love like the kind of eternal love my parents have, I don't think I have it in me to through many different other halves before finally finding The One. Sure, I believe in love. True love, eternal love, whatever.
But I just feel that it would happen to me either & I'm not really willing to risk myself going around to find it. If I do find one other half eventually, I'd rather he be The One or nothing at all. And like Bunny, I'd also be willing to 'pin' myself to someone I know I will never have & go crazy over the poor fella rather than get burned over & over. Ya lahh, Xabi being the example. I mean, Xabi doesn't know me & I don't know him. No problem.

Cynical, I know. I can't help it. Seeing my share of breakups around me has got me thinking that I'm not that kind of person who would want to have many other halves. And here I thought I was the sentimental one. Well, true that I gush at the thought of romance. But, just not the notion of it happening to me. Maybe it's part of my insecurities; my weak point that seems the strongest in all my weak points. So, I guess it'll be pretty hard for someone to come by & convince me otherwise, breaking my reserved guard. He can try. But it won't be easy, I guess.

Not to say that I've got a long queue waiting to give it a shot.
