No soccer news this time around only because there are no upcoming matches from the the EPL or Champions League; everybody has flown back to their homeland to prepare for this weekend's international World Cup Qualifiers.
The more 'exciting' news is that apparently Xabi said in a recent interview on liverpoolfc.tv that Liverpool needs to sign in more players come January if they want to catch up with Chelsea because they're currently 13 points (I think) adrift of the English champs. Boyo, morale in the camp must've been down-in-the-dumps low after that crushing they got at Anfield a few days back. Okay, okay I won't talk about it; it's just too depressing. But, never mind; it's still early & even if the Reds don't succeed much in English football, there's always the Champions League to look forward to.
And Xabi, what's this I hear about you caught in an argument with Didier Drogba?? Stop picking fights with all the Chelsea players you come across, for heaven's sake!! First it was John Terry during that CL clash & now it's Drogba?? Thankfully, it was Drogba who got booked & not you. *shakes head* You're too nice to get booked, lahh. That's why the ref let you off the hook. Now Drogba, he's a dirty player. *glares at Drogba*
Anywayz, so here's the new Craig David single taken off his latest album The Story Goes...; it's a breakup song but the rhythm & beat to it is really irresistable because it's more like a calypso & two-step song than a slow, emo one so it's really catchy. And it helps when the meaning is pretty steep.
Don't Love You No More - Craig David
For all the years that I’ve known you baby
I can’t figure out the reason why lately
You’ve been acting so cold
Didn’t you say
If there’s a problem we should work it out
So why you giving me the cold shoulder now
Like you don’t want to talk to me girl
Tell me
Okay I know I was late again
I made you mad and dinners thrown in (the bin)
But why you making this thing drag on so long
I wanna know
I’m sick and tired of this silly game
Don’t think that I’m the only one here to blame
It’s not me who’s been going round slamming doors
That’s when you turned and said to me
I don’t care babe who’s right or wrong
I just don’t love you no more
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cos I let you down
Now it’s too late to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I’ve made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more
I know that I’ve made a few mistakes
But never thought that things would turn out this way
Doesn’t make sense to me now that you’re gone
(I see it all so clearly)
Me at the door with you in a state
Giving my reasons but as you look away
I can see a tear roll down your face
That’s when you turned and said to me
I don’t care babe who’s right or wrong
I just don’t love you no more
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cos I let you down
Now it’s too late to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I’ve made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cos I let you down
Now it’s too late to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I’ve made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more
Those simple words hit so hard
They turned my whole world upside down
Girl you caught me completely off guard
On that night you said to me
I just don’t love you no more...
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cos I let you down
Now it’s too late to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I’ve made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cos I let you down
Now it’s too late to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I’ve made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more...
Okay, a little analyzing here. The song spins a tale about a guy in dilemma after the girl he loves -or so he thought she did- drops him the bomb & gives him the boot. Was it something he said?? Was it something he did?? He's probably just realized the severity of his mistakes that his girlfriend has put up for so long & when she finally decides that she can't take it anymore, she made her point clear-cut. Feisty female there.
He is left stumped to the core & wants to try to amend things. A little too late for that, innit?? Dude, she left you out cold. This guy probably didn't give her as much appreciation as she deserves & while he's still thinking that their relationship is rock-steady, she's already through with him.
It's a stab in the back when someone says they don't love you anymore.
In my opinion, the better of a relationship is when the guy loves the girl just a little more than when it's the opposite. Because, if the guy loves the girl just a teeny bit more, the girl won't ever have to worry about her other half leaving her or being infidel as in his eyes, she's the only girl he wants to be with. But of course, the girl shouldn't be an idiotic bitch & take advantage of that by flirting around with other guys or leading him on when she knows she's not reciprocrating. That's just suicidal. Yeeeesh!!
But the again, not that I'm a relationship expert. That's just my opinion. *rolls eyes*
Laterz...
