Xaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

Whahahakz...I'm whacked. Call it the consequences of deliberately losing my sleep. But, who cares!!?? It was well worth it. Liverpool won 2-1 against Real Betis. Not the best of performances, but we were better in the first half. French kiddo Sinama-Pongolle aced the first goal in 90 seconds & guess who scored the second goal??

LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! Wooooo-hoooo!! I'm so proud of him; like, hello?? I was the first one to congratulate Luis. Ole!! The game was charged with high adrenaline that I could barely sit still. I was constantly switching lines on the phone either with Luis (how could both of us be on the phone while we're on the field??) or Such & later on both Jan & Such, bitching about the opposition & tried to make out what Rafa & some of our own players were saying.

I am high on Xabi Alonso right now. He is such a damn good midfielder; he goes from attack to defence in just a snap of those fingers; usually he leaves the attacking to Luis Garcia because Luis is such a fast & nifty runner -even though when Luis runs, he leaves his head behind- that he can get himself out of pickle situations & outrun the defenders because of his small stature. So, you see Luis, big doesn't necessarily mean good. And it's an added bonus that these two are just so darn good-looking that it's almost impossible not to drool. Whahahahkz!! Which is why me & Luis are such good friends.

It was quite difficult to keep track of these two Spanish supremos because first of all, they're placed in different positions. Xabi is a central midfielder while Luis is a right midfielder but plays back-up to the attacking forwards. Ehh Luis, you know how to look at what position you play or not?? To determine where you stand, look at your team's goalie. If you're a right midfielder, that means you stand on his right; not the opposition's right. Got that?? Ahahahkz...

Anywayz, it was an excellent game; a great way to start the Championships. We play Chelsea at home in a fortnight & I'm damn sure Jose Mourinho wants his sweet revenge. Bring it on, yo!!

Hey, do you know how tormentous it is not being able to watch telecasts of live matches on TV because I'm cable-challenged?? It's been awhile since I watched a live match; not counting the international friendly between France & Ivory Coast because I fell asleep halfway due to utmost boredom. Like, sorry if I thought the match was worthy of skipping some minutes to snooze.

Sorry, but I just can't stop gushing about XAAAAAAAABIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!! It's great to be able to see him in action again. What's there not to like about Xabi Alonso?? He rarely tackles; even if he did, his tackles are mostly well-timed, he can switch from attack to defence in like zero to none, his defence skills have proven time & time again of his alertness & solidity because when Carra & Hyppia couldn't clear the ball he was always there to make a clearance. And his long-range kicks as well as his trademark free-kicks are oh, so sweeeeeeet. And yes, he is bossy & is constantly seen pointing around, giving directions. I wonder, does anyone actually listen to him?? I doubt so. Ahahahakz!!

Ohh yeah, Jan agreed to be the injured Harry Kewell while Such is content with liking Sinama-Pongolle. For now. Actually, she thinks Luis Garcia is quite cute. Whahahahkz...didja hear that Luis?? Sinama thinks you CUTE!! In the end though, Such didn't find the mystery 'Pool player that she saw at White Hart Lane when the Reds were playing the Spurs away. Haiz...are you really sure you didn't see a red-shirt FAN?? *raises eyebrows* Never mind. We will come to the bottom of this eventually.

I'm glad Such has decided to join the ranks of soccer with us. I mean, sometimes I feel bad for talking about soccer to Jan & then Such gets left out in some way because I want ALL of us to be able to talk about most stuff, soccer included. She's learning now, though. Slowly in time, I think she'll do fine in our soccer conversations. I know she will. I'm so proud of her for taking up the chance to catch the live match with us when she'd usually be asleep way before the match preview even begun. I think with the help of Jan & I and the probability of Art, we'll help her re-establish her soccer rights & she'll be up & running in no time. Heck, I want her to be even better than silly Outdated Ballpicker. Huh.

At least Such isn't such a birdbrain like you to mistake a CLUB jersey for a COUNTRY jersey. Can anyone tell me, who would be so obtuse enough to 'proudly' proclaim that Brazil rocks while holding a white Real Madrid jersey?? Excuse me, do you even KNOW what colors the Brazil national team wears?? Yeah, yeah, you'd say you knew. Heck, you don't even know the name of Barcelona's home stadium & you call yourself a fan?? A fraud, more like it.

And you've got the gall to say you 'think' you're becoming a Liverpool fan because of our influences, including your silly boyfriend's. But I bet your boyfriend doesn't even bother to tell you stuff about soccer. He knows you're a worthless cause. Bitch, do you even know what the sign above the home players' tunnel at Anfield says?? I rest my case.

I'm not fluent in the past history of both clubs; I just started out probably in '98 after the much hyped-about World Cup where France won the trophy. I'm not an ultimate Kop Faithful. I'm still a Red Devil, too. But I know. *rolls eyes at Outdated Ballpicker* I wash my hands off you.

Okay, enough of that. Anger management is encouraged at this point. Ahahahkz!!

Right, so the match was more Spanish-oriented than English. Out of the 5 Spanish players that Rafa had, he fielded 4 of them; faggot Mori in still injured. Because Rafa knew that his Spaniards were the ones who knew their craft well & would come through for the team. After all, they all came from Spanish teams once. Heck, even that Frenchie Momo Sissoko was from a Spanish team. So, it was apparent that Rafa would throw out a 'Spanish' team against another Spanish team. That was the trick old Rafa had up his sleeve. So what if Stevie G only came on as a substitute?? We've got Carra as a stand-in skipper; he did a wonderful job in keeping the team together with those exceptional moments that led to minor blunders which of course, were downplayed thanks to the wonderful Jose Reina. And Hyppia has had his share of experience in being named captain in the days when Stevie was still in his diapers.

Of course, the Spaniards did their job & they did it well. Luis Garcia scored that second clinical goal & was everywhere in attack, Pepe Reina was a shot-stopping saviour on more than one occassion when the defenders just couldn't do anything, Josemi Gonzalez marked his opponents well was like a bull-terrier at his mildest & Xabi Alonso was stellar in his defending, long-range passing & alternating between attack & defence (*sighs dreamily*).

*Ahem*

Heh. Their defence line was as solid as the Great Wall of China; a little similar to how Manchester United is playing currently. Unlike Real Betis whom, okay given their number of injuries, were somewhat bland in their playing. True, they got their consolation goal but after that, the defence just kept pilling on. I think the way they played was somewhat the same as what they did to AC Milan in the finals where they were crowned European Champions. Man, I love that title. Ahahahkz!!

Anywayz, right after the match, I went online & spotted 2 of the Olympique Lyon fans. One of them was on away mode so I decided to have a short conversation with the other. Obviously, both were still high on their team's victory against Real Madrid, the team they thought was my favorite. Yeah, yeah, rub it in some more why don't you?? Ahahahkz!! You were practically gushing on & on about how great Lyon was, how happy you were & how you & your other friends 'jumped for joy' when they scored all 3 goals. Well, I'm happy for you & your team. Not that I cared much for Real Madrid at that point of time; I was still high on Liverpool winning.

And of course, Real was held at a disadvantage due to injuries & suspension. I said it before that I had a feeling Lyon would win; Real was just doomed to slowly become a landslide. Though I wonder, was Real that bad in their playing?? I forgot to ask you that question. Obviously I don't know how well or how bad their performance was because I don't get that match here. But anywayz, I'm an ABC fan i.e. Anything But Chelsea fan. So, I'm not too hyped over Real's loss. Even if they had won, so be it. Good for them.

Now, I'm more concerned about this upcoming match between Manchester United & Villareal. Another adrenaline-pumping match. Should be interesting to see Diego Forlan return to Old Trafford. He'll probably get a warm reception since fans know what he's done for the club. I just wonder if I'm able to stay up like I did today. God, I'm not sleepy but I'm kinda lethargic.

I've been given some stuff to upload on the site after lunch so I guess that would do me some good in chanelling my energy. So far, only yesterday's game has been on my mind. Like as if I was the one who played in it. Cheeeh. Mom would surely disapprove if I told her I'd be staying up again. It was mildly hellish for me to get up today, but what the heck. For the game, I'd stay up. Ahahahakz...

Laterz...
Lenny JC (Hmmm...should I be putting Xabi Lenny now?? Ahahahakz!! Kidding!!)
