Today was my last day here for my FYP. I've got mixed feelings about leaving. I will definitely miss seeing Daphne, Khai, Joann, the Fries, Auntie, Beng Yong & Kay Keong whom are our 2 most wonderful & lienient lab assistants I've ever had!! At the same time, I'm happy to go off so I don't have to see the people whom I don't want to see again for the next 3 months. And also those newbies who just came back, fresh from their attachment; most of you are already my enemies. Do you think I really want to see you, too?? I'd rather get my tonsils pulled.

So yeah, kinda looking forward a little to going out into the industry. I was rather fortunate to have SingTel as my attachment company at Eunos; Joann got PUB. I'll try to come back as often as I can to see my Crazy Club members. Furthermore, Handsome Mr. Foo said he'd prefer me to come back some time so that he could teach me & the newbie how to configure my hardware.

Yes, my hardware. Finally, it's up & running. And a fine time, too. Yesterday was my demo for Mr. Kan Ni Nah, & even though I knew I didn't ace much of it, at least I understood how everything worked & I knew which buttons to press. And what NOT to press. Yeah, gatal me went to yaya papaya activate the phone lock & couldn't unlock it back again after that. So during my demo presentation, I couldn't present one of the features from the phone, explaining that it was due to my itchy fingers that bo chap tekan-tekan. *Sighz* Thank God Mr. Kan Ni Nah isn't so particular; a nice man, but I STILL think Handsome Mr. Foo is nicer. And Mr. Foo went to dye his hair!! So vain!! Ahahahakz!! When I confronted him about it the moment he went out of our lab, he stood in front of the glass panel & glared somewhat amused, his nostrils flaring at me. Muahahahahkz!! For cryin' out loud, Mr. Foo!! There wasn't even ONE strand of white hair on your head before you went to color it. So what made you do it now?? Sorry to be kaypo!!

Anywayz, good luck to the newbie taking over my project. You don't know how lucky you are. At least you didn't have to wait for ages for your hardware AND software to finish its installation.

Okay, moving on to more important things. Refer to my entry dated back on 31st May 2005, where the beginning of my entry was directed at Christophe & the French Fries. Recalling what I said then: UNFRIENDLY UNTIL PROVEN FRIENDLY. And I swore I wasn't going to change my descriptions of all of you until I see for myself that you guys were worthy of describing. And I also said that there WILL be a day that I would take back my words if you guys prove me wrong. Well, today is that day. The verdict is out. As of now, ALL of you have proven to be: FRIENDLY. ALL OF THE FRIES ARE FRIENDLY.

And I mean it. You guys have proven me wrong & I now take back my words. Now, those descriptions that I made one & a half months ago were all first impressions. I have said it before & I'll say it again. Even though first impressions count, lasting impressions are more important. So, since I'm a person of my word, I will add/edit new descriptions to the old ones. If you want, you can go to my archive to see the old descriptions I gave of you. As of now, my first descriptions of you guys no longer count. Okay, here we go!!





Romain Ingrasciotta: The Juve Fan, Mr. Italia, Moody Fry, Mafia, Alessandro Del Piero

Looks like: Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan, except that Romain is skinnier...See?? And both of them love to wear three-quarts...




Romain Ingrasciotta was one of the Fries whom I had labelled unfriendly; the unfriendliest to be exact. But, that's only because Romain keeps his guard up & hadn't gotten used to the environment here. Hence, his PMS-like attitude & no-nonsense stance. That made him look unapproachable & intimidating but once we knew him, whoaa...absolutely charming!! An obvious soccer fan, Christophe says Romain helps coach the NYP Girls Soccer Team. I don't understand why, of all the soccer players in the whole wide world, his favorite soccer player HAD to be Alessandro Del Piero. *Rolls eyes* Which of course, explains his liking for the number 10.

All of us thought he was from an Italian Mafia family because of his Italian heritage. But according to him, "I come from good family!!". Hey, even if you weren't from the Mafia, couldn't you just pretend to be?? At least, you know, it'll make you more intimidatin. So, the next time someone asks you, then you reply, "Yes, I'm from the Mafia. From Monday to Saturday, I help my father with his Mafia dealings, then on Sunday, I go church.". Ahahahakz!! Now, wouldn't that be much more interesting?? His best friend is Vincent & they are inseparable, which was why we always saw the both of them together since Day 1. He doesn't talk much, maybe it's due to his not-so-good command in English. Or maybe because he doesn't like to talk, period. Nonetheless, I think we got along fine even during the times when we knew you were moody, don't you think, Ingrasciotta?? Ahahahahakz!! Though we didn't get a nice photo of you, that's okay. Because, we've got a great video, instead!!



Romain Louvet: The Nerd, Mr. Germany, Dancing/Desperate Fry, Arjen Robben

Looks like: Arjen Robben from Chelsea with slightly receeding hairline, but sometimes, that ain't a bad thing. At least you look like someone famous...



The first time I saw Romain Louvet, I thought, "Oh, my God. Nerd!!". And somehow, during the time he's been here, my thinking hasn't changed. When I see him loitering around the corridors, peeping through windows to see you-know-who when he think no one's looking, I still see a nerd. BUT. He's not so bad. To me, he's like the big brother that I never had. You know, the times when I tease him mercilessly & him threatens to hit me back. Well, hell, at least you've got a girl who wants you for who you are. And that's great!! I will never forget one of the lines he said to me when we first met while I was showing him how to operate my camera. "I AM AN ENGINEERING STUDENT; I AM NOT STUPID!!" Ahahahahahkz!!

You rock my socks, bro!! I know I sounded condescending and all, but really, I apologize for that. I know you absolutely HATE soccer & soccer players, but instead, you like swimming & martial arts. Don't worry, I think my Muay Thai boxing is peanuts compared to your Taekwondo skills. Nerdy as you are, you've got a whole bucket of confidence in you & I admire you for that. Hmmm...maybe that's what made you stand out from the 'usual' crowd of nerds. Ahahahakz!!



Nicolas Meunier: The Scientist, Mr. England, Sweet Fry, Daniel Jackson, Fernando Torres

Looks like: Daniel Jackson from Stargate & Ian Rosenberger from Survivor: Palau mostly because of his shaggy hair. After that haircut, he looked like one-half of Oasis...or so you said. Hmmm, so if you're Liam Gallagher, who's Noel??



Nicolas Meunier, whose surname I can NEVER pronounce. The very first French Fry that caught my eye at South Canteen when they arrived. It could be because of his sandy-blond hair that made him stand out among the rest of the Fries. I mean, out of all of them, his hair was the lightest in color. When I pointed Nicolas out to Daphne, she snickered & said, "Like scientist, sia!!". At first, we all thought he was the quiet type, but he's actually quite a talker. Not only that, he curses loudly in French, too!! When we first met him, he barely said 5 words before retreating back to his lab. I heard you talked up a storm & didn't let your other Fries get a chance to talk to our Prime Minister when he came by that day. Ahahahkz!! Nicolas has the most outstanding walk I have ever seen. From the way he walks, you can recognize immediately that it's him from a distance even from behind. Sure, Nicolas walks fast, but the way he does it...totally outrageous!! His arms go flying around like no one's business; if you're in his way, he'd probably fling his arm at you. Ahahahakz!!

It's like as if he were going off to a gang fight held outside school. It's intimidating enough when he, Ingrasciotta & Vincent walk together; they look like a trio of gangstas off to lunch. But when all FIVE of them go off in a group, they look like they were part of Napolean Bonaparte's French contingent off to war. And Nicolas has the sweetest smile ever!! An added bonus is his dimples!! Which, Silly Christophe mistook as 'nipples' when I asked him if Nicolas had dimples. *Rolls eyes at Christophe* When Nicolas smiles, it's as if he can never stop smiling. And even though he pretends not to like to have his picture or video taken, we KNOW he loves it. And I have a video proof of that because even after taking his video, he never stopped smiling & looking into the camera. BUT. Sorry ladies, he's taken. And he wants to remain that way. So, don't even think about it!!



Vincent On: The Follower, Mr. USA, Hip-Hop Fry, Cristiano Ronaldo

Looks like: Cristiano Ronaldo, though at first glance, thought to look like Steven Gerrard. Not very photogenic in pictures; looks MUCH better in person...




The last Fry that we ever talked to & had a conversation with, Vincent was actually not very well-liked by us at first. The key words here are AT FIRST. We thought he was arrogant, but after some observing, we found him to be the sort of person who doesn't talk unless needed; if there isn't any reason to talk, then he doesn't talk. According to sources, Vincent loves to eat. Of course, we've seen it ourselves how he eats and, my God!! He eats as though he hasn't eaten for 5 years!! Joann caught you & Ingrasciotta drooling over the buffet table downstairs on Wednesday at the staircase from Level 2. We wanted to call you guys down to take food with us because we knew you like to eat, but the first time we went down, the aluminium covers weren't opened yet. The second time around, ALL the food had vanished. And it was within the span of 15 minutes when all of that happened. That was how fast the food went. Anwayz, really sorry that you didn't get to enjoy the food that day but at least you ate your crepes!! Daphne says Vincent flips the crepes as though he's been doing it all his life!! And he's even better than Nicolas!! Impressive...

Also, Vincent has the nicest French accent out of all the Fries. Hmmm...I've only heard him speak English to me & I hardly noticed that he has an accent when he speaks. I don't know; maybe I've already gotten used to all their accents & it becomes normal. It's like, their accent never existed when they speak. Ahahakz!! So, me & Daph thought he looked like Steven Gerrard at first because of his constant 'troubled' look that he perceived. But the more we saw him, the more he reminded me of someone else. And then I happened to look thru my mail & when I opened up one of the messages & saw a few pics of Cristiano Ronaldo, I squealed with delight & shouted for Daph to come over. "Oh my God!! Vincent doesn't look like Gerrard!! He looks like Cristiano Ronaldo!!" I remembered pointing excitedly. Yeah, I know, crazy girl here getting excited over nothing. So, whenever we saw him, we'd be like, "Cristiano, Cristiano!!" in hushed, whispered tones. Again, a little crazy, we know. But, like Nicolas, Vincent also has one of the best smiles. It makes him look younger, so smile more!! No, I'm not drooling...


Patrick Tsai: The Mr. Kiasu, Mr. Taiwan, Small Fry, Ahn Jun Huang

Looks like: Mr Kiasu. That's it. No other comparison for Patrick. I'm sorry!! Actually, Daphne thought you looked like a bird, but I totally disagree!!



We didn't even know you were a part of the French Fries because you blended in so well with our local people & with the added fact that you were hidden behind Nicolas. So when we saw Nicolas, we didn't see you. Really, really apologize for that, Patrick. Anywayz, it was so hard for us to get Patrick to talk because of the simple fact that he, like the others, was shy. Not only that, Patrick usually just minds his own business; either doing his project with Nicolas or playing online games. When we finally heard him talk, to us, he sounded damn scared!! Not like any ordinary scared. But like, "Don't hurt me!! Here talk all my money, just DON'T take my iPod Mini!!" Ahahahakz!! Yes, Patrick, that was exactly how you sounded. Like as though if you didn't say "Hello!!" to us, we'd take away your beloved iPod. But, we weren't offended or anything. In fact, we thought it was cute!!

I'm guessing Patrick is the youngest out of all the Fries & maybe he gets picked on quite often by the rest. I'm saying MAYBE. Or maybe not. I wouldn't know. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. Anywayz, Patrick's Chinese accent is really distinct, especially when he talks English. Unlike some of the Fries who are able to hide from the roots of their ancestors, I don't think it's that easy for Patrick to hide from his. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, though. Actually the more we saw of Patrick & heard him talk, the more we found him cuter than ever before. And, on our 'Sexy' 6 list, we're very proud to say that Patrick Tsai has beaten Romain Louvet!! Yep, you saw it right, folks!! Romain Louvet is now at the bottom of our 'Sexy' 6. Come to think of it, I never thought of Louvet to be that good-looking from the very beginning. Ahahahakz!! So, Daph, you better take back your words about Patrick looking like a birdie. What the heck!!?? Patrick, I give you permission to slap Daphne if EVER, you hear her calling you a birdie again. Ahahahkz!!

Well, now that I'm done with the Fries, I have to say FYP has really been quite an experience not only for me, but I can also speak for Daph & Jo that without all the courtroom drama that we've had to go though, I don't think FYP would've been the same. Well, in addition to the presence of the Fries as well. I took a few vids of them on the last day, all except for Vincent who went home early. But 5 out of 6 ain't bad. No, those aren't for my personal viewing pleasure, but a little something for all of you before you go home. I can't spill anymore details, or it wouldn't be a surprise. So, just wait & see what you'll be getting on the last of your days here in NYP & in Singapore.

Maybe we'll all see each other down the road again & maybe we won't. Anything is possible. I also heard that some of you might be returning here, even though not so soon in the near future, but it'll definitely be a pleasure seeing you again. And who knows?? Maybe we might even come to France one day. And then, ALL of you shall be responsible for taking us around France for a tour. We're too cheapskate to hire tour guides. Anywayz, it's really, really been an enjoyable period; I think one of the most enjoyable ones I've had, so, thank you Daphne, Joann, Khai, the Toilet Auntie, anybody else & of course, not forgetting The French Fries. All of whom I've mentioned had a part to play in my growing & helping me to be a better person. And all of you will be deeply missed. Do keep in touch, yeah?? Love you all!!
