My working place is a total hell-hole & I'm counting the days that they will come to an end. My internet connection sucks; I can't even go to cybertai like I used to back in school. My computer has NO sound card, I think, which is why there is NO Windows Media Player available & therefore I can't listen to music. I can't plug in my baby i.e Hard Disk, because it's 'unrecognized' so I can't do the videos during my free time. I can't even access the drive shared by the ENTIRE building & I'm the one who needs to save stuff there after editing, and then later to upload them!! I need to use my assistant supervisor's account instead!!

I can't even go to nice sites because they take AGES to load. I hate it. I hate the environment, I hate the fact that as a 'computer geek', I'm unable to surf whatever & wherever I want without being reminded that I'm browsing through a restricted area. Example, I go to cybertai.net in school, and at the right corner where it usually displays something like: The page cannot be loaded as it is from a restricted site. Please contact your administrator & blah, blah, blah.

Well, here at SingTel, mine goes:

Hi Liyana,
You are accessing a restricted web site.
If you have any query, please mail to oahelp@singtel.com.

HTTP 502 Proxy Error - The requested web site is blocked by the proxy server.

Aaaaaarrrggghh!! You don't have to use my second name!! And I know I complained about not being able to listen to music, but for CRYING OUT LOUD!! Stop playing Karma, whoever you are. It's driving me nuts!! My goodness.

Am I miserable here?? Yes, I am. Just being here is enough to light my already short fuse. I don't mind the staff & all; they're not bad, except for one or two. The first guy is my assistant super; who is so kan-cheong spyder that every time he sees me accessing the SingTel page, he'll ask me what I'm doing, afraid that I'll gatal-gatal go & upload something. I mean, come on lahh. How am I supposed to know what to do if I don't survey the site & it's components?? And what have I got to upload into the homepage, anywayz?? Photos of me, which I can't even access due to my 'unrecognized' baby?? Other than that, he's okay. Just the kan-cheong spyder part of him that tests my nerves.

And the second fella is some guy who talks like as though people around him are deaf & he needs to speak twice as loud. Even with the one sitting next to him. Okay, that one I don't really bother because I tend to tune some things out. But what pissed me off was that on the second day, HE THREW PISTACHIO SHELLS IN MY TRASH CAN AFTER EATING THEM!! He just stopped right at my cubicle & the next thing I knew, I heard cluttering sounds. When he walked off, I looked down at my bin & saw those empty shells!! And I really felt like throwing those things back at him.

You asshole!! What is your fucking problem!!?? You have your own freakin' bin!! Why do you want to use a temp intern's bin!!?? What gives you the right to take advantage of temps?? I know you assisted Alice in activating my Internet account, but that was so minor!! You just had to change the domain for the username!! And you think that gives you privelledge to use my bin?? Oh, for cryin' out LOUD!! Even the old Uncle sitting next to me uses his own bin!! And then later, when the cleaning Auntie came around, she glared at me before emptying the bin & then threw the bloody bin on the floor like as though I was the one who ate those bloody pistachios. Aaaarrgh!!

Yeah, then later you ask Alice what's my name. Fucker lahh, you. First name isn't enough for a thick-skinned pig like you, isn't it?? You had to know my FULL name. But after that, you didn't even bother to introduce yourself. But like, do I care?? I'd rather shake a baboon's hand. Like, whatever lahh. Attention seeker who wants himself to be heard by everybody. Every single word that comes out of his mouth must be heard by the entire office. Jeez!!

I went back to school yesterday for VoiceOut '05, which was kinda bland. Last year's VoiceOut which was planned by our batch of members was much better; tickets were sold out & people ended up sitting on the stairs. And the talent had much better quality. I guess there were pros & cons to last night's event. At least the ongoing entertainment was marginally better than last year's; but the hosts of the event, not so good. Too much reading from cue cards. Okay, I had better not comment so much just because I wasn't part of the organizing committee. But like I said, both events have their own pros & cons.

Sure, there were cockups. Before our time, during our time & afterwards. In any event organized, there would definitely be a few hiccups & some cockups because that's inevitable. But the show must go on, no matter what. All you gotta do, is pray that the show would run smoothly. During our time, the judges were a flat-out joke. The promises of known guest judges were banished by unknown "That's a guest judge?? Never seen him before.". Yeah, pathetic, I know. But at least the response we got last year was waaaaaaay better than the one this year. But, what the heck?? I came down to have fun, not to comment on others' misdoings.

Anywayz, I practically ran the whole way from YCK Interchange to Blk S because I didn't want to be late & not get seats. I met up with Daph & Jo first just as I was about to find them. We screamed when we saw each other. Yeah, that was how much we missed one another & I didn't want to let both of them go. I saw the gay couple, Ingrasciotta & Vincent walk past our lab & I called out to both of them. No, actually, I called both of them the same term & both turned. Ahahahakz!! What the heck, right?? I didn't stick my head out long enough to see if they waved back or not; VoiceOut was on my mind so the three of us rushed off the TFA to where we met up with Such, Jan, Daddy PK, Gaya & Nirmal. Such had agreed to save seats for us but to our annoyance & relief, the doors weren't opened yet until it was about a quarter past 4pm. The show then started 15 minutes later.

Of course we cheered our hearts out for our guys AND gal, whom were performing. Mada, Chippy, Art a.k.a Punani -yeah, the girls screamed Art, but I yelled Punani-, Mazlan & Michelle. Mada & Chippy were in the Young Composers where they sang & strummed a song about mothers in general while Punani & Mazlan joined the Group category with another guy, Abu & sang I Don't Wanna Know by Mario Winans. Mich however, were a guest dance group. At the end of the event, Mada & Chips won third while Punani, Mazlan & Abu won the first prize. So, congrats to each & every one of you. You've made the GB Family proud. Now that VoiceOut is over, BandzOut, here we come!! And this time, you guys are going to perform as a whole group!! Minus Abu, of course. Mada, Chips, Punani, maybe Mazlan & Amir, are you guys ready for it?? 'Coz we KNOW that you'll definitely bring the house down. Especially with your hit single. The sky's the limit, guys!!

Anywayz, found a little OT something while I was surfing around, waiting for my tasks to be delegated. XABI ALONSO IS IN WIKIPEDIA DICTIONARY!! Whahahahahakz!! So, here's some stuff that Wikipedia.com has written about dearest Xabi:

Xabier Olano Alonso, commonly known as Xabi Alonso (born 25 November 1981), is a Spanish Basque footballer who plays his club football at Liverpool F.C. in England. He wears the number 14 shirt at Liverpool and is a midfielder.

He was transferred to Liverpool from Real Sociedad by their recently-installed manager Rafael Benitez, for a fee of £10.5m. Prior to Real Sociedad, he played for SD Eibar. Alonso is considered by many to be one of the young "hot-shots" of Spanish football and a considerable talent and played for his country at Euro 2004.

Xabi Alonso made his Premiership debut for Liverpool against Bolton Wanderers at The Reebok Stadium on 29 August 2004, a game that Liverpool lost 1-0. His first goal for Liverpool came from a free-kick against Fulham on 16 October 2004. Liverpool were losing 2-0 at half-time, but Alonso's arrival as a substitute inspired a revival and an eventual 4-2 win. Although a newcomer to the English league, Alonso has impressed with his exceptional range of passing and vision. He has become a permanant fixture of Benitez's sides and has endeared many fans with his long range passing ability.

After breaking his ankle following a tackle from Frank Lampard in Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on New Year's Day 2005, Alonso was ruled out of action for over 3 months. He made his return earlier than expected in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Juventus. In the absence of skipper Steven Gerrard through suspension Alonso played for all 90 minutes as Liverpool gained an improbable 0-0 draw in Italy to defeat the eventual Italian Champions. Gerrard would later repay the favour to Alonso in the very next round: When Alonso was himself suspended from the second leg of the semi-final against Chelsea, Gerrard steered Liverpool to a 1-0 win that put Liverpool in the Final against Milan. Alonso played a crucial role as Liverpool completed an incredible comeback from 3-0 down at half-time to 3-3, scoring the equaliser. Liverpool would go on to win the European Cup on penalties, capping a successful first year in England.

Not bad, huh?? Kinda updated, too. And here's something for Luis, because a good team mate never forgets her own best friend of whom she trains with:

Sanz Luis GarcĂa (born June 24, 1978 in Badalona, known commonly as Luis Garcia), is a Spanish football player. He currently plays for Liverpool F.C. and wears the number 10 jersey.

Previously, Luis Garcia played for FC Barcelona, Tenerife and Real Valladolid, in La Liga. Normally, Garcia is employed in the "hole" position behind the striker and in front of the midfielders.

Garcia was signed by Rafael Benitez for Liverpool in August 2004 for a fee of £6 million (Benitez coached Garcia while he was at Tenerife). Garcia made his Premiership debut against Bolton Wanderers on 29 August 2004, a game that Liverpool lost 1-0. Garcia hit the net in the game, but the goal was dubiously ruled out for offside.

Against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on 11 September 2004, Garcia scored his first goal for Liverpool. He has also been capped for Spain.

His most famous goals include the winning goals against Juventus and Chelsea, in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively, of the Champions League in 2005. He took part in Liverpool's Champions league final victory over A.C. Milan on 25 May 2005.
With 13 goals in all competitions, it would be seen as a very encouraging first season in English football for the Spaniard.

Also taken from Wikipedia.com; if you don't believe, then go right ahead & try it out for yourself. Sorry, but I can't post any pics up here, but I'll do so maybe when I get home or when I type in a new entry. But for now, I guess that's about it!! Hoping the day will pass by quickly. Bleahz!! Can't wait for Saturday to roll by because THE CRAZY CLUB IS GOING TO MEET UP AGAIN!! Wooooooooooot!! Ahahahakz!! I guess that's the only thing that keeps me sane here in this hell-hole. Looking forward to that day when we'll be shooting vids!! Like, finally!!

Laterz...
Lenny JC
