Went to Swenson's with the family today. Aww, man I'm full!! Went to the one at Tamp; really nearby since we didn't want to fuss ourselves with long distances. So, Dad drove us there & we waited for like, half an hour before we got our seats. My parents think its because of the full house but frankly I think they couldn't accommodate a family of 7 fast enough & were caught off-guard. Yeah well, we're an intimidating bunch, all right.

So anywayz when we finally got our seats, we were all like half-starved; I had to save my two younger sisters from tearing each other apart like cannibals. We took our time trying to decide what to eat: Dad had the Secretaries' Week Special even though he isn't one. His was a choice of Teriyaki Salmon or Beef Sirloin so he opted for the cow. For the special, he also had a complimentary soup & choice of ice-cream & coffee or tea. My 2 youngest had to order the same main course AND ice-cream. Talk about the lack of originality. Mom added her own spoof by ordering from the kids' menu for a plate of Spaghetti Bolognese which turned out to be good, according to her.

My second sis had a little trouble deciding; actually both remaining sisters were picky over their food & thank god I sat in between both of them!! So finally, the second one settled on Breaded Chicken Menieure while the other wanted Teriyaki Chicken Pasta. Mom produced a coupon for a promotion where you could get a free sundae with 2 main courses. However, when our orders were finally taken up, my sister's order of pasta wasn't considered as a main course & she had to change her order. In a blink of an eye she said, "Okay, Lamb Chop."

And all of us gaped at her blatant order since it was one of the more expensive items on the list & even though we knew Dad could afford it, we didn't want to really waste alot. And, wanna know what I ordered? Zilch. I shared between my two sister bratz so in a way we'd save at least some money. Hey, I was only being the good, considerate daughter that I am. And my bratty sister even chose the free ice-cream to suit her tastes & not even giving in to consider what others might want. So yeah, in the end I kinda had the best of both worlds; lamb on the left, chicken on the right. I didn't mind, though. Anything to fill my tummy was all I cared.

So we did have quite a feast even if I didn't have my own platter myself but yeah, as long as nobody went home hungry, it was fine. My sister even fell asleep after eating her kids' meal not only 'cuz of the long wait, but also since she'd just got back from school, it was understandable that she'd be tired out. Poor girl.

Anywayz in the end the ice-cream went to you-know-who & I as usual, shared with the sister who ate the chicken. Even that was supposed to be my parents' ice-cream. Oh well, as long as I got to taste it, I guess it's enough. Dad promised to try Breeks next time we go out for an impromtu dinner after I'd told them about the food at Breeks & its kinda lower-than-Swenson's prices. And yes, I didn't forget about them Garlic Mashed Potatoes...Yuuuuummmmmy!!! Can't wait till next month!!

My kiddies from Music Clef are graduating soon & I'm so proud of them. Even though the little ones have been difficult to control, I get joy out of seeing their faces beaming with happiness when they finish learning a new song or revising an old one. Reminds me of the times I had in Thailand when I was teaching those kids. *Sighz* Wish I was back there with Miao, Pixie, Oodha, Fudgie, Rachie, Ade, Flatsie & the rest of the crazy crew. Damn it, I miss 'em all!!

I just got the Thailand VCD from Ms. Kat & man, the footage really brought back all the tears & the memories. Most of my kids were featured inside, and so was I. Well, I'm usually kinda in the background & not really being featured, but then, who cares?? Damn great work from the film team. And great narration from Oodha even if you did sound a little as if you were having a cold & decided you've had enough & stopped halfway. But otherwise, excellent footage. So proud of all of you!! *Sniffz*

Laterz...
